You have multiple limites release, hard to find beers. You managed to find multiple bottles of Backwoods Bastard, and you drink a breakfast stout as your go-to. You are the definition of beer snob.

Now, lets talk about how you're going to get me that backwoods.... Oh, and I'll take that Founders IRS too.

But... I drink everything, I just have good taste! And yes, there was a bit of bragging with that second picture. That was the result of my wife and I both going to multiple shops that day (and my parents picking up a third bottle of the Firestone XVIII).

And to be honest, of all of the Founders beers I have had, the IRS is the best. That stuff is amazing.

I never even tasted an american made beer (except that Budweiser once when I was in Boston a few years back)....

Recently I've tasted a few Belgian beers. The Maredsous, which is really good, one of my favourite. I also got to try a Vedett which is white beer, with some lemon taste. And one I really love, the Trappe, you can't even tell it's 10% of alcohol. One of the best beer I drank.

Orlando, it sounds like Knightly Spirits is simply THE place in Florida in general for beer shopping.

In Gainesville, it sounds like Wards has a nice selection with a knowledgeable person doing the ordering.

The homebrewing is going alright. Only on my 2nd batch of extract, but my buddy and I can't seem to match schedules and brew any more until he's done with his masters program. It's a shame because the temperature of the brew right now is about 52° which is perfect temperature for lagering. I also picked up some hops plants from a local grower, and I'm going to start growing my own hops next spring to add to the beer. The cellar is going to go through a big overhaul in the coming months. I picked up some bricks which will go on the floor to give it an old-world cellar feel, then I'm going to insulate and finish the walls, then build a wine rack for my wife.

I've read that with a chest freezer (more insulated than a fridge) you can keep temps relatively stable for storing beers. There's quite a bit of info out there on forums. Or if you're more DIY-inclined, 2" rigid foam is amazing stuff that lends well to creativity

Kinja'd!!! Gamecat235 > Stupidru

The issue is maintaining a temperature, when ambient temps vary as much as they do here... But yes. 2" rigid foam would likely do wonders with a rack and sealing environment. I may have my next project.

Well that actually sounds like a perfect place to use rigid foam! Just make a box out of the foam, make a lid with an extra piece that indexes inside the box, and now you have a way to keep beers at a stable temperature and out of UV light. If temps get too high, just throw a double-zip-lock bag of ice in there to cool it down. As long as you have a table saw or a miter saw and can get straight cuts, that will be a pretty simple project. Just keep in mind that most glue will melt the foam, but a $3.50 bottle of this glue will do the trick nicely. Cheers and keep us updated! (Is there a Beerlopnik?)

I've been drooling over their barrelworks line... Agrestic was sooo good. A friend posted when he got a case of the stuff. Feral One and Bretta Weiss both sounded amazing.

Have you much from this line?

ETA: My fridge looks like this on a semi regular basis:

I've not yet tried either of those, but that fridge looks familiar to me. I've got a couple Parabola, a Sucaba, 15-17 Anniversary, Wookey Jack, Double Jack, a line of Stone Vertical Epics, a couple 2010 Deschutes Jubels, and some other stuff, in addition to my traditional holiday full keg of Sierra Celebration. And since I don't drink Monday-Thursday, I'm happy it's Friday. T-minus 5 hours & 20 minutes to cheers!

Oh the irony... LOL. You started some good conversations with that one. I was trying to figure out if it was ArchDuke, Swedes or someone else... you never even crossed my radar.
